An Inconvenient Truth

Hi All

Bob and I just saw the Al Gore documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" and it was absolutely mind blowing. Please, if you all can, go and hire the DVD and watch it. It is not for one minute boring, it is real life, actual happenings. It shows how quickly and how in such a short space of time we are destroying the planet. If your like me and always thought "it's along way off being a big problem" then once you see this you will KNOW that we have got to get our bums in to gear and start doing our part to stop Global Warming. It is predicted that the entire North Pole will have melted within 50 years, that pretty much kisses The Netherlands goodbye and all but floods hundreds of major cities around the world including Australia. Spread the word all, we all have kids, or care about our future enough to want to do this.

Sorry to sound preachy, but watch the film and you will understand. On the right hand side of the screen is a Pledge counter. I challenge you all to Pledge and get our counter up.

Cheers.

Merry Christmas

Hi All

What's going on? No new Blogs in a while :)

Well, I thought I would just say that I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Only 5 sleeps to go. Hope everyone gets spoiled.

Cheers

Fun at work

This is a couple of pics from last week at work. We were raising money for Make a Kids Day (clown doctors mainly). The first pic is me and my staff at the bank and the other is our Dollarmite Addy (all the kids thought she was Dora the Explorer) in front of the bank car. It was heaps of fun walking down the street with this Dollarmite, everyone was just gob smacked, it was funny, we raised about $260 which wasn't too bad from one day.

Can't ad a picture????

Hi All

I have been trying to ad a few pics and Ellie, I know you have been having trouble too adding pictures. Apparently there is something wrong with Blogger, I was in their forum and about a million people are having same problem, so my bet is to ride it out and it should get fixed.

Cheers

Me Again

Don't know if you all know, but my brother Ben and sister Jessie were personally invited to compete in the World Line Dance Championships in Nashville next December and I have conned Bob into letting me go with them. I am pretty excited. We were all going to go but it would have cost way too much, so Bob has agreed that I can go as long as I take Lachie, so it was a deal. I still have over a year until we go, but I am already planning where I want to go (Nashville will only be a small bit of the trip for me - line dancing isn't really my thing, i'm just the fan club - lol). I want to try and get an around the world ticket so I can come home via London (hopefully arrange to see you Jode), Dubai and Hong Kong. Anyway, hopefully I will do it this time, everytime I arrange to go on a big trip, something comes up and I can't do it. Well, just wanted to share that with y'all.
Oh, this is a pic of Lachie and I at Whiteman Park in Perth, he thought the steam train was Percy (from Thomas the tank engine).

Bye.

Hi All

Did ya's all have a good weekend. Nothing overly exciting here. We went to Warwick on the weekend and did a little christmas shopping. It was actually the first time we had taken Lachie out without a nappy on and he had no 'accidents' for those without kids this is a big deal :)
Today Bob turned 25, so we went out to this nice cafe for lunch and then she went to the movies with a friend of hers.
I applied for another transfer on Friday. The job is as Business Banker in Wagga. I'm not overly confident or excited, because it is a completely different role to what I am doing now, I simply applied because I desperately want to move closer to mum and dad (i know, I am a big baby). It's been 7 and a half years since I lived in Junee or Wagga so the prospect of moving back is kind of exciting.
Well, I have my little girl trying to grab the keyboard and it's driving me nuts, so i will chat to you all later.

Snowing

I didn't believe it when I saw it, but it snowed three times today. Here is some pics I took at home at lunch time today, it was snowing pretty heavy, but only lasted for a few minutes before turning into rain so we didn't get much ground cover.

My Turn

Hello everyone, I'm glad you all like the blog. We have one for my family and one for Bob's family so I thought it'd be fun to set one up for us, it'd be esepcially good for you Jody so you can show us all your pics from your world travels. I nearly put in for the Branch Managers job in Broome the other day, but mum cried when I told her so that's not gonna happen now, I'll still wait for a Wagga transfer, I hate waiting :)
This is a pic of Lachie with all his Thomas toys (mind you this was taken two months ago and I swear his collection has tripled since)
